Miley Cyrus Real Name
Miley’s real name was Destiny Hope Cyrus which she later changed to Miley Ray Cyrus. It is believed that her name came to being Miley as she always use to smile. Therefore everyone called her ‘Smiley’ which was shortened to Miley.
Her name then became Miley Hope Cyrus which was officially changed to Miley Ray Cyrus later. The official name came into being in 2008 when she was only 15 years old. She had filed the papers in the Los Angeles Superior Court for the same. Ray was the middle name of her father and since she was more like her father Billy Ray in many ways she chose to adopt the name for herself.
Billy Ray Cyrus was a country singer and Destiny Hope Cyrus seemed to be very inspired from her dad’s singing style. Miley came to be recognized as only Miley Cyrus as she had played the role of Miley Stewart in the television sitcom Hanna Montana starting in 2006 on the Disney Channel.
